Mackel

Looking for some info on a lady called Mary Ann Mackel born could have been born in Sunderland about 1895. She married a Frederick Robert Brewis.  I would like to know if she had any siblings, and who her parents could have been. That is all i know about her, she was my great grandma, and there is no one left to ask.

Hi Derr, as there may be a couple of candidates you may need to get her Marriage Cert and thus reveal her declared age and her father's name - we should then be able to pinpoint her in the 1901 census with hopefully parents and siblings... 

This must be the marriage, altho Mary's own index entry hasnt yet been transcribed in FreeBMD it seems ..

Being a gambling man, I would bet that is not all you know... if you have her marriage cert, it would reveal her father's ID .

Anyway...........

The birth of Mary A Mackel was registered with S'land Register Office in the June Qtr of 1894 ( Previously a Mary ann had been birth-registered in Dec Qtr 1892. Then there is a death registration of a Mary A aged 0 yrs March qtr 1893)

Mary A/Fred. R Brewis marriage was registered in Dec Qtr 1914, S'land RO.

Birth registration Masrch 1915, S'land.. Child Mary A Brewis (with a mother with Mackel maiden name... but no sign of more Brewis/Mackel births.
