Hello Gail
I don't know if you are still researching your family but I have recently done a lot of work on my Mackel side of the family. Mary Ann Mackel 1894 was one of 9 children. It is a very large family. Let me know what further info you need.

Hello Emmybeth

My mother is a Mackel. Nice to see we have spread far and wide. It seems to be quite a rare surname. Most seem to have come from Germany and initially settled in Sunderland.

I am currently looking into Ludwig's history. Do you have any information. Looks as if he died in 1872.

Thank you.
