hi  there, can anyone tell me where  carlton is in nottinghamshire.  im looking for st. micheals church, this is where my g/father was baptised.

hi robert. carlton is in the borough of gedling it is the next estate to me which is mapperley. i cant remeber seeing the church you mentioned, looked in the local phone books but no entry there

hi teresa, ty for your reply i was looking last night on a site  and i have found a picture of the church at  nottingham thornywood location foxhill road near the porchester road end the image is from 1905, and was a timber built church then. so im sure this is where my granfather was baptised.

hi terrisa, hope you are well, ive had some great news today, the nottingham archives found my grandfathers baptism they were copied into the register of st pauls, carlton in the willows. plus ive now got his mother and father  names to. so you can imagine im on a high right now ;D.
i was wondering if you could do me a favour could you find out if there is a porchester road, its says here that his parents was a butcher. im so excitted here lol.

hi robert well what can i tell ya ......... yes there is a porchester rd it is about 5 mins from me. what would you like to know about it ?  it is off one of the majr road now known as the mapperley area  it is off the b648 woodborough rd best wishes teresa

hi terrisa, thankyou for your reply, could you possible have a look to see if there is a butchers shop on the porchester road please, the info i got yesterday says that my grandfathers abode was porchester road and that his trade was a butcher. many thanks.
