Why does my reply post Vanish

Twice this week and on lots of previous occasions,when i am typing out a reply and nearly finished.I will add a smiley and the post dissapears except the smiley.I used to type it all again,but after it vanished the third time, at one time.I gave up is it a time out thing

It's happened to me a couple of times.....have no idea why......I think I may have been in preview mode when I was trying to add the smiley ......anyway I used my back arrow on my tool bar and got back to where I had started my post. I then clicked my mouse on the body of my post where I wanted the smiley to go and then added the smiley.

I never use the preview mode only the spell checker,so i know it's know its not,you cant alter  the post when on spellchecker,wondering now if i was on it, added the smiley and it reverted to the post i was doing.Having deleted what i had typed, does that make sense you to

Probably you were in spell checker and tried to add a smiley....it usually happens to me if I'm not actually on the post...haven't really analyzed it  ......anyway if it happens again use your back arrow...always a  good back up in an emergency
