Hello,

I'm trying to trace my Cobb relatives who I know were living in Cape Town, South Africa during the 1950s. My great-grandfather's brother, ANDREW SOUTAR COBB, born Perthshire, Scotland 28 Feb 1880 emigrated to South africa some time after 1901 (He's on the 1901 census in Coupar Angus, Perthshire). In 1959 my great grandmother recieved a letter (which I have) from JACK COBB, who was born in Cape Town in 1909. In the letter he mentions seven siblings - BRIDGET, DORIS, IRIS, MARGARET, STELLA, WINIFRID and ALBERT. Albert was apparently born in 1915 but there are no birth dates for the girls. All were living in 1959 and several were apparently married with children. Jack mentions working for Woolworths in Cape Town.

I'd love to hear from anyone who knows anything of the family, or can help me find more details.
