well yes the good thing is him being born in Colchester will make him stand out and i agree that the 1911 census will hopefully end that problem. or maybe only increase it. ha ha.
its only 6 months away.
we can wait.

shame on you Kas

We all have bad weeks and varying levels of budgets.

How dare you “abuse” the very people you are asking to help you for NOTHING.

It’s bad enough to do a lot of research for a stranger and not get even a “thank you” but to see comments like “the first one was ignored by everyone except for unhelpful comments” makes me wonder why we bother.

Just looking at the home page of the Buckinghamshire Board I see the are MANY posts started by you (with replies), so be grateful for all the FREE help you have received.

Bren.

the reason i had to post this request twice was because the first one was ignored by everyone except for unhelpful comments.
kas

In actual fact you can see it wasn't ignored, as the number of times people have looked at each posting is at the top of the page

"Topic: help with arthur charles turner please  (Read 70 times) "

So that's 70 people who have looked an maybe half or even more have tried to help.

Something to think about there Kas.

Carol

i have apologised openly on air here and that should be the end of it. what do you want  grovelling cos i dont do that.

please except the apologies of a very frustrated stuck at home person who cant do anything but this all day.

i am always very grateful for all the help that people give on here and have had many happy conversations with many of you.

you have to realise i live in a village with no neighbours at all, no public transport and no transport of my own. i only have my hobbies, and my housework

the only time i get to see anyone or talk to anyone is if they visit me. or the one bus a week to town bus.
sometimes i think i lose the art of conversation and social skills.

Another idea -
Do you know when dad, Jesse died? getting a will might help give a clue as to what happened to son Arthur Charles.

thats a good idea
but i dont think his family know.  thats why i started this in the first place. his granson said they didnt know what had become of the uncle Arthur after he stayed behind.

he asked for my help to find him.

that's what it is allabout - trying to find out what you dont already know!!

Have you got the census references for Arthur and family in 1891 and 1901 before Jesse and co emigrated.
i have just spent ages looking and cant find them. With a large sense of deja-vu as  I did exactly the same when I read your first request some time ago.

got 1901 (silly me was looking for Alfred not Arthur!)

RG13 1329 91 20

8 Manor Street Berkhampstead
Jesse E 38 Soldier Sergent major of volunteers bn Ivinghoe Bucks
Edith 38 bn Essex Colchester
Arthur C 15 mechanical engineer bn Colchester
Maud J 14 bn ?
Edward W 12 bn Bedford
George F 9 bn E India
John A 6      "
Mabel E  3     "
Walter T 2    "
Dorothy M 1   bn Bedford
Louise Kathleen 1 mth bn Berkhampstead

There are a lot of them! Have you followed all the siblings in Canada to see if Arthur turns up as a witness at a wedding, or in a will, or anywhere else?
