Mission impossible - Coat of Arms restoration
« on: Monday 04 August 08 21:13 BST (UK) »
This is probably an impossible task but I thought I'd post this anyways in case someone feels like an immense challenge ;)

This is a photo of an original painted family coat of Arms dating from the 1700s.  My distant relative has the original and took it to a restorer but they didn't dare touch it and said it would be damaged if they attempted.  Apparently it is only a very thin paper stuck onto a piece of wood.

Anyways, I took at go at this, but it is far beyond my capabilities, and I gave up :(

Attached is a small copy of the original.  If anyone wants to give it a go I also have a much larger copy.  I certainly understand if it's beyond hope ;)

I'm also attaching portions of another coat of arms that you can see what the hind and other parts sort of look like.

Thanks Karen
