NEEP family in Vic, Tas and SA lookups please

Hi All,
Now somewhere along the line, one of the NEEP families had a son named HENRY.
In all Jenn's and dee's and Aussie's findings and the ones which showed briefly last night from Judy, I can't see him.

However it looks as if he may have headed off to Qld.where he produced a large number of childen.  {Possibly more than one wife}. starting around 1872.

Many of the names are recurring such as FRances and Elizabeth.

Some NAA files of interest too, Both round Chartrs Towers[name Carvolth] and Victoria, [Castlemaine and Hawthorn]

These may help you to move forward to current times in your searching.

what makes you  think  Henry  in Qld is related  to  these gentlemen?

perhaps he has come in on his own accord from?  he may be related  though

Hi Jenn,
My thoughts were not based on any links that I could see.

I was struck though by the similarity of given names, Henry's first daughter being Frances.

As you suggest, a kinship, if any, may go back to the homeland in some way, rather than originating here in Aust.

So few Neeps in Australia in early times.

Norman William is one of the soldiers I referred towith a file on The Nat Archives site digitised.
There are some interesting letters contained, including from his wife .  He got married in England and was discharged there.

He went to Castlemaine High School

I have just read all your postings and I am so appreciative of your help in obtaining such detailed information re the NEEP family. You continue to amaze!!! Thank you one and all.

Jenn, I started with little information about the Vic and Tas connections other than the names of the three brothers and that they emigrated to these states. This information came from a very recent contact in England who would also like to learn more of the Australian connection. He didn't give me any other details.

With such little information to go on, it's remarkable what you've all found for me/us. I suppose the surname helps though - better than a Jones or Smith!!!

Re James Roberts: is there a possible death registration for him with his wife known as Fanny rather than Frances?

I have the BD&Ms for Margaret Isabella Roberts, who married Thomas Betts in SA, but not the M & D details for siblings Ann, Elizabeth, Sarah and Joseph. When you have a few moments to spare I would welcome that information.
