Williams family 1841 Census Nevern [Trewern Quarter]
« on: Tuesday 05 August 08 15:00 BST (UK) »
Hello, please can you help :)
I have found Martha Williams in the 1841 Census aged 32, born in county - living with Mary Williams aged 73 and Daniel Williams aged 12 [both born in county]. The address is hard to read, but I think it says Ffinonlas or Ffinonias?

Would it be possible to see if Martha is still residing in the same place in the 1851 census and even possibly Mary, although she would be 83!
I suspect that a Daniel Williams I have for the 1851 Census in Merthyr Tydfil is the same Daniel as above, but he gives his place of birth as St Dogmals in the 1851 census and St Dogwells in the 1861 census?

kind regards
Margaret

Thankyou Cat and thankyou Cas for searching.
I am far more used to areas in the south wales valleys and Pembrokeshire is all new to me!

Cas, I am waiting for Daniel Williams marriage certificate in Merthyr to come through and hopefully I can make a parent link. Daniel names some of his later 8 children Sarah, James and Ann - so there is a possibility? If these are his parents, it looks like he may be the baby of the family.

many thanks :)

Eleven years on from the original post, and I have finally found the marriage certificate for Daniel Williams and Mary Ann Harris. They married on 17 December 1849 in Merthyr Tydfil, but Daniel had been wrongly transcribed as David, and this wasn't clear until I looked through the images.
Daniels father is listed as John Williams, occupation mason. Daniels residence at the time of his marriage was Penydarren in Merthyr. The witnesses are W Rowland and Ann Harris (by mark)
Any help pinning down Daniel in the 1841 census with this additional information would be greatly appreciated
