Hello I am not sure what information you have on William Hines but here is a little:
He was christened  29 JUN 1806   Occold, Suffolk, England in 1827 he went to marry Sarah, in Essex.

His father Francis Hines was christened  12 AUG 1781   Occold Parish, , Suffolk, England his parents were called Robert and Lucy Hines. He and his brothers Stephen and Jeremiah were baptised at the same time.

There are no other children baptised in Occold around the birth of 1806 +/- 10years. I would think that he was an only child.

Many, many thanks familydigger William Hines is my x3 grandfather.  You have taken my family history back another generation for me by finding the baptism of Williams father Francis and his parents Robert and Lucy.  Poor William he does seem to have been an only child, usually in my family they have many siblings.  Many thanks once again for your help.

Kind regards Susan

Could I ask you one more thing familydigger do you have the parish records for Occold? I wonder if you could look for a marriage for Robert and Lucy Hines.

Many thanks Susan

Hello there,
I have found the Marriage between a Lucy Liddilow and Thomas Hines on 05 JUN 1770   Eye, Suffolk, England.
There is no Thomas Hines born in Occold, so he was more than likely from Eye, I am trying to find a birth for Thomas and Lucy but am failing miserably at the moment.

Hi

Had a look at Occold PR at the records office today, and have found a little bit more for you.

William Hines s/o Francis and Anne Hines was received into the church 13 July 1806.

You are right, there doesn't seem to be any siblings, but this could be because Anne Hines died in 1806.

She was buried at Occold on 9th December 1806 aged 21 years.

I wasn't able to find her marriage to Francis at Occold, but have found a second marriage for Francis.

Francis Hines widower (signed X)
m. Susan Rivett widow (signed her name)
married 6th June 1808
Witnesses: Eli Hunt, Mary Hunt (both signed)

Also some baptisms of their children

James s/o Francis and Susan Hines (late Rivett)
B. 5 Feb 1809, pr bap 19 Feb 1809 received into church 6 Oct 1811

Ann, b. 15 Sept 1811, bap 6 Oct 1811
Edgar, b. 9 Oct 1813, bap 14th May 1815

Best wishes
Anne

Many thanks familydigger I would very much appreciate the names of the children of Stephen, thank you for you help.

Anne it is so kind of you to look at the records office for me, poor Anne she was only 21 when she died, it is so sad (she is my x5 grandmother) I am hoping to visit Occold in a few weeks time, I came down to Suffolk  a couple of years ago, this was before I had researched  my family this far back in my family, so I now have much more to look for, I remember stood in the tiny church in Occold knowing that my family had been there it felt wonderful.

Thank you both so very much, you have made my day.

Kind regards Susan

Hello Kevinhouse,.

It seems we are related, my 5x Grandparents were Francis and Susan Hines, Susan being the second wife of Francis. And our side of the family originates from their son Edgar.
I actually wrote a book depicting the family history and can be found here, (excuse the price, I only wrote it for dad, but because of the subject it has proved popular).

I hope this is as much interesting for you as it is for me.

Cheers
