Hi I am a descendant of John McColl born 1762 "of Auchinacross" Scotland, and his wife Mary (don't know her maiden name). Their son Angus, known as Angus Ban was born 1795 Appin and married a Catherine McLean. She died young, about 1844, and he and most of his family left Scotland in 1852 on the Bombay to go to Australia. His children include John Malcolm Mary Margaret Ann Neil and Christina. Most were adults when they left Scotland. I have a photo of John's wife Catherine McInnes. I have photo's of a lot of their children, and some certificates as well, am very happy to swap.
