Hi Mark, this the index of Brecon towns & parishes, if you click on 'L' you can see there are quite a lot.

Do you want to give me the census ref, or some info, so I can find it and maybe help?

Hello again Mark,and the Chrirtian name I gave for the Marriage to Catherine Walters last night Rees could very well be correct.Firstly I could find no Birth of a Rhys Lloyd showing in Merthyr in c 1845,but there is a Birth showing for a Rees Lloyd in the Merthyr Tydfil District in the October Quarter of 1843.The GRO reference is Volume 26,Page 392.I also found a Rees Lloyd livng in Monmouthshire in 1851 showing as born in Merthyr in c 1844.These were the other members of the Household;
David Lloyd,born c 1816 Breconshire "Cefyn Coedagman","Heater" Widower.
David Lloyd,Son born c 1840 Breconshire as above.
Ann Lloyd,Daughter born c 1842,as above.
Rees Lloyd,Son born c 1844,Merthyr Tydfil Glamorgan.

As for the main question in this thread the place you could very well be looking for is Llanstephan/Llansteffan which could either be in the Aberlluvny/Aberllyfni or the Glasbury Church Parish.
