Thomas Jones
« on: Tuesday 19 August 08 12:20 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace the family and ancestors of my great great grandfather Thomas Jones who was born in Cemmaes about 1806 and married Anne Davies from Pennal Merionethshire around 1834. I would particularly like information on their respective parents and their two daughters Anne and Jane who were born in 1845 and 1850 respectively.

Hi Collybobby

i've checked my Montgomeryshire baptism index but I don't see a Thomas Jones bpt. Cemmaes around that time. The family might have been non-conformist or he might have been baptised elsewhere  :-\

I see on the 1851, he's born Mallwyd but on the 1861, it's Cemmaes.  I'll have a look at Mallwyd baptisms.

The parish (Mallwyd) is part Montgomery and part Merionethshire - tricky  :-\

Thanks for your reply - I do have those census entries for 1851 & 1861. I also have entries for him for 1871 & 1881.
