Hi Chris and Brian :)

I am very sorry for not replying but I usually work on my laptop and my other half had gone on the main computer and downloaded all e mails so of course I have missed yours until I was clearing the memory up today and spotted your replies.

I will have to see if I can find him in Naval Records see what I can come up with.

Looking further at his name I wasn't sure if it was a full signature ie L Sexton. Sexton being his surname and not christian name as I first thought. What are your thoughts?

Hi Brian

Do you think it could be L Bexton, the L doing two jobs if you know what I mean? May I ask how you find the information please?

Hi Phil :)

Thanks for the link. I've had a look but none with the initial L. I will do a search for L Sexton just in case.

as Phil has shown it is quite easy to find casualties by surname on CWGC Website. Fortunately he hadn't got a surname such as Smith or it would have been a problem.
That is IF any of these are your man.

Hi Brian

Yes it is very easy thanks. However I think he must have survived as the L Sexton was only 21 when he died and looking at the photo of 1914 I believe he was older than 19/20 at that time. Thanks to you both anyway for your trouble.

Chris

If this is a Royal Naval School of Music uniform then I think I have found his relatives. Can we be certain?
