I presume that the Llanarmon that you refer to here:

Quote
His parents were Thomas 1793 Llanarmon

is Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog?  If so, do you have a baptism record for Thomas as I have the parish records and can look him up.

Good Morning
I'll try and do things in order.
I got the transcript for Trofenen/Treflach church from shropshire FHS. My cousin looked at St Oswald's Oswestry as the chapel was only licensed for marriages in 1848. Thomas was married before to a Ann Pryce she died in 1843. They married in Llanyblodwel 9 May 1815 we have a copy of the church registry. We haven't any birth records for Thomas only what is shown 1793 LLanarmon

we think so, her Father was a farm labourer called John who was shown as deceased in her marriage to william griffiths of Treflach in 1856, poor Thomas only died in that year.

I found a Thomas and Ann Watkin in the 1841 Census living in Trefonen ,but I rejected the Thomas as he is shown as a Shoemaker whereas the Thomas with Mary George and William in 1851 is given as a Labourer?

William
Yes, that is my Thomas. Mostly he is shown as a shoemaker on his death certificate he was a stonemason journeyman. George was also a shoemaker and so was one of his son's who came to Lancashire where I am now.
Best Wishes and Thanks
