Hi All,
There is a marriage in Northop,

26 Feb 1759 John Cooper (x) otp Banns to Mary Edwards (x) otp Witnesses John Edwards (x) and Charles Jones.

Found this baptism for a Richard s/o John and Margaret Cooper in 1760 abode W:B (Wepre of Burton). Wonder if this helps with the 'missing' marriages?

Hi Megran  :)

I think the marriage would be in the broad time frame of (say) 1816-1825. It would probably be the earlier part of this range because they were in their 50s in the 1841 and son Thomas was 15 (or 15-19, if  age grouping was used).

Hi Gadget,
Spot on with 'HTH'.

The John and Mary marriage could be parents of Samuel (Snr). So going back another generation. No marriage found for Samuel (Snr) or Samuel (Jr) if on the right track.

The reference to the abode of John and Margaret being Wepre of Burton.  Burton I think is across the River Dee. Should have looked at Genuki before posting.

Perhaps the other marriages took place on that side of the Dee. Or maybe in Chester.

Hi Megran  :)

I was wondering about some of the Cheshire parishes - also nearby Flintshire & Denbighshire ones or even Toxteth itself. A lot of people from Flintshire and Denbighsire went there.

I think CaroleW spent a good bit of time looking through online resources and BVRI.

It will take a fair bit of looking for though  :-\

There is a marriage on the Cheshire Parish Register Project website for a Samuel Cooper to Ann Leach at Chester St Mary,
22 Nov 1789, if I've worked the date out correctly. Would need checking for any other details etc. Long shot, could be Samuel Snr.
