Hi all: While surfing merrily along, I came across TreetonWeb. I have no branches in Treeton, but thought other Rootschatters might. The site has the 1891 census for Treeton transcribed here as well as many other links of historical interest.

In honor of the arboreal lilt to the name, I have rewritten the opening lines of "Trees," the best-know poem of American poet Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918), which reads

A poem as lovely as a tree.

to

I think I shall never see done
A place as lovely as Treeton.
