deaths should be on the gro indexes. After finding refs  you might try local newspapers for obituaries/announcements
You can cover up to about 1935 on freebmd on Images (although transcription peters out around 1920)

They're not in the burial records at St Mary's, Elland.

Thanks Claire

It was an outside chance that they would be there.  In all honesty they could be anywhere in Yorkshire.

I appreciate your help thank you.

Hi Pauline

Thanks,  I have,  I think found the death 1912 A/M/J qt Halifax 9A 504 Is there any way I can find out which part of Halifax district this deals with and where the burial would be please.  I know this sounds awful but I really cannot afford to send off for the actual certificate.

Thanks for all your help though.

You can tell nothing about the location within a reg district from the Page reference. (sadly)!

Hi there
This post was some time ago so I am not sure whether you will pick this up but Ann Elizabeth Waddington was my Great Great Grandmother.  I know she died on 1st June 1912 at 88 Langdale Street Elland but I cant find where she was buried either.  Did you have any success?
