Edward Sockett Chirbury
« on: Monday 12 April 04 14:19 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I am reasearching Edward Sockett born around 1834 in Chirbury, Salop.

He married Susannah (Surname unknown) born in 1835-ish of nearby Berriene, Montgomeryshire.

The next bit of informtation I have is 1866 when they had moved to Hulme, Lancashire to start a family. I have then followed the family through the 1881, 1891 and 1901 Census.

I would love to know more about this family  :)

Sarah

Hi Sarah

There are 25 people with the surname Sockett in the 1871 census for Shropshire on line but none of them are named Edward, plus there is not a Susannah either.

Would suggest they are elsewhere in a county as yet not transcribed for on-line searching.

In case they are family, checked to see if any of the above 25 people show any connection with either Chibury, Salop or Berriene, Montgomeryshire - without success
