Hi there! I am so excited that you posted. My sister-in-law is Mabel Meadmore's grandaughter! Mabel had an illegitimate son Percy Lionel who she gave up for adoption. I obtained Percy's birth registration and that led me to Mabel and then up the Meadmore tree.
I would love to correspond with you. It sounds like you knew Mable? My sister in law would be thrilled to hear stories of her grandmother who she never knew.
If you send me a private message here on Rootschat I will give you my personal email and we can share info. I've got lots of certificates and census records going back to Thomas Meadmore (including spousal lines) and am happy to share.
Hi
Just started searching for my line
Henry E Meadmore was my Great Grandfather
I have provisional links back through his father John to Walter Meadmore in 1580 but need to verify the links in each case. The difficulty being that the Meadmore family had extended families in and around Orcop and to make this more difficult they also used the same family first names. So easy to confuse different connections.
Any information relating to John Meadmore or Elizabeth Digwood would be welcome. I want to verify his father John Meadmore and his grandfather Thomas Meadmore.
My great grandfather Henry E Meadmore had Leonard (my Grandad), Mabel (my old Auntie) and Gertrude (who I never knew).
I will be visiting Hereford Records Office and Orcop in the summer but any small piece would be most helpful.
Much appreciated
