Also, from what I was told, Rose ended up working as a housekeeper for a family in Evanston, Illinois and my father lived with a family by the last name of Sullivan here in Chicago. I was told that this Sullivan family was a married couple who couldn't have children and adopted an infant named Lawrence. Lawrence ended up being mildly retarded and when Mrs. Sullivan passed away and then Mr. Sullivan passed afterward, the home was given to Rose with the agreement that she would continue to care for Lawrence. It was in that home that my father, James Crowley, grew up and Rose then lived in with Lawrence and my father and worked as a housekeeper in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago.
