Census 1861 Margate - J A Miles Completed Thanks

I wonder if some kind soul would be good enough to look for a John Abraham Miles possibly in Queen St in the 1861 census?

I would like to know the details of his wife and children if he has any please.

You don't say how old he might be or where he was born   

There is a John Miles ages 67, Widower, Fishmonger B/ Margate, Kent
He is logding with  family called Douglas, not in Queen St, in Hunters <something > maybe road, in Margate.

Is that the one ?  if not - can you tell me a bit more about him - date of birth, for example?

Thanks for the reply but I don't think he's the right one!

I'm looking for a husband of Marianne Hudson who could have married a John Abraham Miles in Sept 1854 (Thanet  2a 890)  or a Walter Grant.

I found a John Abraham Miles confectioner in Margate in Melville & Co's directory of 1858 so thought he might be the one .

I imagine the birth year might be around 1828 but that's a guess based on Marianne.

If you are able and it's not too much trouble could you look for a Marianne Miles or a Marianne Grant? I don't want to buy a marriage cert at this time as she isn't a direct relative.

Pete - I'm sorry, I can't spot anyone while that profile, born 1828.  I presume she was born in Kent ?  Whereabouts ?

Was her name spelled marianne or marion or Marian ?

I think that this is  certainly them! Thank you.

Marianne's brother John Sidney mentioned in my last post also made the move from Kent to Dorset, in his case via London.

 He was near Poole by 1855.

Now I'll be wondering what drove the move!
