any online searches for Cork?
« on: Saturday 29 January 05 22:35 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know if there are online census or search lists for Cork please. Any lists for men joining the Army? My ancester Johanna Murphy married a Mr Desmond (poss Timothy) she was born approx 1830 Cork her Father was Patrick Murphy a Soldier. As a widow she married in 1869 at the Catholic Church in Monmouthshire to a Thomas James. Does anyone have a suggestion where I can begin to find out more information? Many thanks. Jan (tinka)

Hi Tinka,

I am also looking for info about ancestors in Cork Co. I found a few websites. I have not verified that they are in any way a help, but no harm looking! Hope they help you. I will be looking through them shortly and if I find anything good I'll let you know. Happy hunting.
