Problem updating my profile

I am trying to alter my research names and areas info. in my profile.  I still apparently have 46 characters remaining but when I click the Change Profile button it doesn't do it - it just returns me to the editing page.  Probably I am missing something very obvious but can someone help please?

It should stay on the Editting page; (no password is requested for this sort of change).

I think the only way to check if its been done is to look at your main Profile Page (or a psoting you have done since the change).

The Edit feature is somewhat Micky Mouse, as when the unused characters are exhausted, it jumps to the end of the text !

Thanks for getting back to me so quick Newfie.  It has now done it - obviously it just needed a bit of time as when I checked my profile half an hour ago it still retained the old info.   .
