Marriage Lookup - Edmund PARSONS, St Hellier Jersey 1870's

I am looking for the marriage of Edmund PARSONS to Elizabeth ?, sometime in the mid 1870's.  I have Edmund unmarried in 1871, and then this couple together with a 4 yr old in 1881.  Elizabeth apparently came from England but I have no surname to start trying to track her down.

Hi Helen

In the St Helier Registry Office marriages there is an entry in the volume October 1874 to November 1878 for Edmund John Parsons on page 29. There is only one Elizabeth on that page and it's for Elizabeth Jane Tanser.

Are there any other TANSER marriages?  It looks like Elizabeth had a sister Emily who may have married on this island in the late 1870's as well

There is an entry in the St Helier Church index for Emily Edith Tanser, July 1878 to September 1880, on page 101.

Thank you.  I think she may have married Frederick Vibert but I cant find either of them in 1891 or 1901 - Ah Well!

There was recently a reunion in Jersey for all Vibert's from around the world. My wife's friend is a Vibert and attended. If you want to explore it further I could find a contact who may have the details.

Thank you for the offer, it might lead to something.  I think I have found Emily and Frederick on Guernesy in 1891 and 1901 - in both cases Emily is shown as being from Guernsey, but that may have been an assumption on behalf of the enumerator.
