According to his birth reg in the index, Gilbert is Gilbert Arthur - is that what you meant? rather than Gilbert and Arthur?

It would be a good idea to get Gilbert and Mary's marriage cert - that will give Mary's father's name and occupation, and hopefully an age for Mary.

I have a feeling there will be rather more Mary Fletchers to choose from than Gilbert Broomheads with year of birth known and known father of Edwin Broomhead!
