Found him with no bother- just searched for Onley in WWI:
Lance Corp. Arthur Onley #46526 died 3/6/1916 (Canadian)- other details there.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Sandy

There is an Arthur Onley on CWGC died 3/6/1961 age 22 son of James and Elizabeth Onley of Wellingborough, England.

He was a Lance Corporal and served in the Canadian Infantry 15th Bn. His nationality was Canadian. His service number was 46526. His grave reference is Valley Cottages Cem. Mem. A. 9.

Could this be your man?

I see aghadowey has managed to find it for you. Might as well post the info anyway.

CWGC site gives names of parents so it's best for Sandy to take a look at his page there as well as attestation papers.

Thank you all for your asssitance.

The one I was looking for was Frederick Onley not Arthur
died in of wounds received in Palestine in 1918 also from Wellingborough.

He may be a non commemorated Soldier on CWGC or a typo on their records and hes under different surname....Is he buried in UK and does he have a War Grave? if he has war grave he should be listed somewhere?
If hes not and hes on SDGW then its a good case for been recognised.

Just seen your post on the other site....So probably a Non- Com am sure answers will follow :)
