Chepstow baptism, 1849, needed
« on: Wednesday 01 October 08 01:15 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the baptism of Elizabeth Ann Artus, born 1849 in Chepstow. Her parents could well be William and Margaret Artus (nee Lane). I have tried Family Search, but the Index link doesn't seem to work.
Thanks.

Hi Eric

There is an Eliza Ann ARTUS born 3 Oct 1849 to Alfred and Sarah ARTUS, baptised at the Chepstow Wesleyan Methodist church on 14 Sep 1851 (residing at Pwlmerick, Mathern).

Looks like a sister Mary Ann was baptised there too on 10 Apr 1859.

Hi

It may be worth taking a look at www.forest-of-dean.net as both those baptisms show up on there too.
