Poplar area of the East End London
« on: Wednesday 01 October 08 23:47 BST (UK) »
Are there any posters who are researching their Phillips in the Poplar area of the East End of London.

Until the early 1960's Poplar was within the Borough of Poplar then Poplar
became the County Borough of Tower Hamlets

Members of my family have researched our Phillips family  from 1835 through
early 1900's, all of the Phillips men appear to have worked in the same trade
Caulkers, mostly in the local docks

Hi,

Have you checked "Your Surname Interests"?  The link is at the end of this
page; just scroll down.

If you add the surnames/area  that you are researching to your profile then it will be seen on all your posts.
