Small Photo Album - WAKELING
« on: Sunday 05 October 08 17:15 BST (UK) »
Various photos taken on a trip made by George Wakeling, sent on behalf of his company to Basra in 1949 to set up a new flour mill.  Album also includes a newspaper article and two telegrams.
I have no idea where this gentleman came from, album was 'rescued' from a small antique shop and is looking to be re-united with its family.  :)

Hi WhiskyMac,

Nice find and what a brilliant gesture posting it here.

May I suggest that you also post it here.. http://www.rootschat.com/links/049v/

I realise you are not selling it and that it is not on ebay.  However, it might get a few more viewings.  I always think this board (Unwanted items) is overlooked by most.

I must go and update the link above - I haven't had time this week.

A closer look shows that the Telegrams have a Post Office Stamp for Ipswich and were delivered to a local address presumably to either his Wife of his Mother,
