Hi Everyone,
I did try the MI for the Parish Church, but couldn't find anything  I even walked round the churchyard  (there are a lot of unmarked graves  though)   I was looking for some Stevensons and  a Mary (Muir ) Benn who died 1905, I did find Stevensons, but not the ones I was looking for.
I wonder if there is a list anywhere of the unmarked graves.
There is a small cemetery in Elphinstone, but not sure where it is.
Anything in the town cemetery (after 1905) the Tranent town office has a list and is very helpful.
The Haddington history museum has a list for the Gladsmuir Church.

Hi Elaine

Elphinstone Cemetery is on Dalkeith rd nr Elphinstone Tower.A lady Rootschatters from the area kindly checked out the cemetery for me,feedback was a lot of the stones are laid flat with the MI facing the ground :'(.

You could email the East Lothian History Society,Haddington and ask about a list for unmarked graves, the Library are very helpful.

Would you mind looking for the name FORMAN or FOREMAN.
I shouldn't think there would be many if any.

Fiona,

Thanks for the info., sad about about the Elphinstone cemetery stones.
I was in Haddington last month and visited the museum, they really are very helpful.  What a lot of history in a small room.
I will check to see what information they have on Elphinstone.
