« on: Monday 06 October 08 08:21 BST (UK) »
Perhaps someone can help.

In the Pembrokeshire Parish of Crunwere there is a stone tablet on the outside wall of the church to:-

John Howell A.M.
Son of Reynald Howell of Trenewyed Gent
Who was sometime Rector of New Radnor
But in the year of Trial 1691
Was deprived of all that he could not keep with a good conscience
Who died 17 January 1727 aged 70 years

Trenewydd is in the parsh of Crunwere.

I was just wondeirng what information might be available about the dates he was there etc.

Google john Howells rector new radnor.
the first site I got gave dates, who sponsored him and the fact of deprivation. I have been researching my family history around that time in the area and I have a feeling I have read some where something about him encouraging the dissenters ( my lot ) in some way. However I cannot say this for certain as I can't recall where and there are lots of howells around here any way.

It doesn't make you look dumb, please believe me when i first started researching i found a site with important info on it - but forgot to note  the site down . I have just re-found it 5 years later. Now that is dumb as it was so important and although i noted the facts down i need to read it more than i did the first time as i grew to know more - happy hunting  :)   vic

Thanks Vic1 - know what you mean.

Once you lose a website its the devil to find again.

Also I am revisitig our Enclosure Award after about 10 years.  Did some basic research before but feel I might understand it and the places and people named a bit better now.
