Wedding 1904
« on: Wednesday 08 October 08 11:11 BST (UK) »
Hi All
I was given this photo of the younger Mary Jane and Frank Arthur Walton today. It is supposed to be their wedding day?Frank and Mary were married at Gundagai NSW on 8th September 1904.
I'm not really certain that the two people in the "wedding photo" are Frank and Mary.
Looking at other later photos of Frank and Mary only served to cloud the issue.
I have included a 1957 photo of Frank with a 1943 inset of Mary.
Objective comparisons and opinions  on the two sets of photos would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards
Wren

Here's the chap.

My opinion is that you have a match on both counts.

Hi Cazz
Thanks. I just wanted an objective opinion. Mum and I discussed the pros and cons for quite some time before we were quite bamboozled and thought it would be best to ask for an objective opinion.
So it seems that it really is my great grandparents.
THanks for your help
Wren

Looking at them like this, I think jawlines are very similiar, chins, distance between the eyes, set of the eyes and mouth show a likeness.

Cheers

Hi Caz
We've had another look and we think you're right.
As we didn't know this photo existed we are very excited.
