Jen,
Had a researching weekend and have numerous certificates and a bible which details George Williams family's birth dates.
He was born 22/08/1878, his wife Kate 18/12/1877, then children Emma (my grandmother) 03/06/1900, George 29/01/1903, Richard 18/09/1906 and Irene 05/12/1911.
I was thinking would a registry office actually search for a marriage certificate if you only know the bride or groom with no marriage date?
