Bertie Severn and Annie Lindley kept the Clinton Arms in 1918 (at least) Bertie worked as a coal miner as well as having the pub-it seems Annie ran the pub when bertie did his service in the Armed Forces in 1918

I have the actual dates of birth of their children
William Henry Severn 19/4/1910 Underwood
Bert Severn 8/8/1911 Underwood
Wilfred Lindley Severn 13/9/12 Underwood (your Grandfather)
Annie Florrie Severn 8/10 /1913 Underwood (married Harold Holmes)
Walter Severn 2/3/1915 Underwood
Joseph Severn 3/5/1917 Underwood
Madge Severn 3/10/1918 Brinsley

so your Grandfather had more siblings than you thought!!!!!

Bertie's WW1 records are on ancestry and Annie is his next of kin (wife) and all children are named in records

I'll look for more

Hi,

Madge certainly lived in Staffs.  Bertie Severn and Annie Lindley were my grand parents.  In the late 1940's they moved to a farm at Great Gate in Staffs.  After Annie's death George Hutsby and Madge went to live with Bertie at the farm.  George was a lorry driver for a local quarry and I remember going with him on a delivery one day.  The farm was only a very small one and in reality Bertie used it as a hobby in his retirement.  He had two Fresian cows called - wait for it - Buttercup and Daisy.  More to follow if you want it.
