   Tigerlilly..............

Hi ........ have you googled Bonham of Wingrave......

There is the Wingrave site that mentions a John & Joseph and also a piece about Joseph Bonham the sweep....known to all as Joey.Slightly later than 1851/61 but very interesting.

Hi Tazzie

Thank you for sharing that, I found it very interesting and the Bonhams that they mention are mine.  In fact all the Bonhams in Wingrave are in my tree.

Thank you

Hello Tigerlily

I've just found out that Dinah Bonham of Wingrave is in my tree. She married Thomas Arnold in 1808 and looks like she was the daughter of George Bonham (Bonnam) and Elizabeth Millburne.

Do you have any information on George and Elizabeth's births and their parents?

Hello Tigerlily

I have a friend who's possibly related to the Bonhams of Wingrave. In his tree I have an Alfred Bonham born abt 1860 in Exeter, Devon. His parents seemed to have travelled around a bit as I have 3 children traced so far...

George born abt 1850 in Wingrave
Alfred (as mentioned)
Edward born abt 1863 in Aylesbury.

I'm hoping the children relate to the marriage of a Thomas Bonham born abt 1813 in Wingrave and Elizabeth (?) born abt 1828 in Woolwich, Kent.

Elizabeth went on to marry twice more and I have her from 1871 onwards, but the crucial 1861 census entry still eludes me. Do you know of this family?

Hello everyone,

I am part of the Bonham 'Wingrave, Bucks' Clan (and Inwards 'Beds' Clan on my mother side) here in the UK.  Am interested in anything anyone cares to offer but my beginners search leads me to believe that Joseph Bonham b1766 and his wife Elizabeth Folly emigrated to Australia.  His son Ephraim Bonham with Sarah Turney may have moved to Australia as well (on the ship Phoebe from London via Plymouth and arrived 27.3.1847).

Here's to hoping I'm gonna find something!

Merry Christmas everyone
