Shilcock/Bromage canal people
« on: Thursday 06 November 08 16:12 GMT (UK) »
I above two names appear in my tree on my husband's side of the family, they seem to have origiinated in hey go back to the 1800's.  Sarah Shilcock married a William Bromage and they went on to have 13 (I think) children, some were boatmen as well.  They had a daughter Frances Sarah who was my mother-in-laws Great Grandmother.

Any information on either family would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. another name is Gittings/Gettings

Hi Deb

Really what I want is confirmation of the names of the children and where to look to see who they  married so that I can link through from Sarah and William to mother-in-law.

A picture of the boat named on the other thread would be great but I dont know where to look.

Any help in where I should go to look would be great.

Sarah
