Hi Kerry,

Can you check out the name Toler. My GGGG Grandfather Richard Kemp stole a sheep in 1802 in Kent with a Samuel Toler his brother-in-law. Richard was transported to Tasmania for life for the crime. Just want to see if anymore Tolers got into trouble with the law. Samuel only got six months jail and a fine for this crime.

Thankyou Kerry.

My GGGG Grandfather also learnt behave himself. He was one of the first people to arrive in the Colony of Van Diemans Land in 1804.

Hmm, well I don't have any Michael's in my tree yet, but he might pop up somewhere!

Did you find your highwayman you were looking for in 1806?

Well I found Richard Message twice, once in 1806 for felony and then once in 1807 for Larceny and transported.  So the rumour about him being a highwayman was obviously slightly an exageration. ::) ::)

All the records I am now collecting for Richard Message just need to be sorted and linked together and that is proving to be the frustrating bit.

Michael Winchester!  I think he might be in my Winchesters  :o
