Back in the "good old days" I sampled my first pint at the age of 16 in 1967 at The Falstaff where an elderly lady called Peggy served me.
I started work at 16 and finished at 6pm, then straight to The Falstaff as my bus home was then running from All Saint's Square.
The pub has now closed, as many have over the years, but I still remember Peggy when I walk past what is now a building society.
If you are interested in Rotherham Pubs, with photo's and licensee information, why not visit my website at http://www.rotherhampubs.f9.co.uk where you might find a relation of yours had a pub.
