Tati, is there a way of finding Ann(aged50 in the 1841 census) with a surname?  Also, if you have your magic boots on, I have a  knotty problem.  Edith Adelaide Louise Wilson born 1921 Shoreditch London.  Mother Sarah Elizabeth Wilson born Bowes father unknown.  Edith went from the local hospital which specialised in un-married mothers (Edith Cavell ww1 heroine may have been the matron at one time but am not sure), to a children's home  where the girls were prepared for service.  Sarah gave her address as 122 Shepherdess Walk and occupation as metal box makers assistant.  She,  invited Edith to see her and the family just before ww2 and their were 3 boys, one William.  It seems possible that Mr. Wilson perished in the 1st.ww.  Sarah the vanished without trace.  Edith, Iknow about as an adult but that is it.  Sorry about spelling mistakes etc.  I'm getting ued to them!     B.

I don't have access to any specific parish records - have you searched the IGI for Joseph Curry / Ann marriages? I somehow fear there will be more than one

Hello, I've just stumbled across this site - I'm Edith Wilson's grand son and have spent the last two years trying to solve the same problem that you have mentioned above. Perhaps we can help one another? Out of interest, how did you know my grandmother (I never met her)?
