Death/Burial of Mary Hornsby
« on: Sunday 09 November 08 15:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for a possible death or burial of a Mary Hornsby (nee English) born abt 1795 Hexham District between the years 1819 and 1822. She was married to George Hornsby at Corbridge and also had two children baptised there. I am also wondering if there was a possible third daughter Mary born abt 1821 but I haven't found her baptism.

However she could also have been around the Slaley area too. Is it possible for someone to check the Burial Index or something similar for me please.

Thanks Evie

Hi Lynne :)

Nice to hear from you again, hope you are well.

This is my problem. I was hoping to find a death of the Mary you have mentioned in the first two baptisms to make way for my Mary who married a George, with children Mary, Isabella and Joseph. George is a visitor in the house of Francis in 1851. See topic

Where is this place please?  I tried to copy the shortcut but it wouldn't let me, (maybe I'm doing it wrong)

The last two are to a George and Mary who is a farmer and not a mason.

Hope I am making sense.

Evie

Hi Lynne

Thanks for looking. The time span I'm looking at is between 1819 and 1822 from when Mary English had Francis 1819 (unless of course she had more I haven't found) and when George married Mary Maughan 1822.

However it may well be not the case that George remarried at all and that he is the cousin of George married to Mary English.

Toooo many George Hornsbys. ::)

Hi, Evie
I'm also trying to research my Hornsby family, I have a George Hornsby (b1796 Ponteland) brother to Elizabeth, Eleanor, Mary, Nicholas and John. All but Elizabeth were born in Ponteland. I there a connection?
