1851 look up Mansell

Hi

I'm trying to find the family of Samuel Mansell b. about 1803 Occ Blacksmith in Wellington. Wife possibly Martha. Should have a daughter Elizabeth b. 1834 Wellington. Not much to go on I know although Hadley might be where they were living as Liz married shortly after.

Hadley is in Wellington Shrops. Samuels daughter was living there when she married and their son, my G Grandfather, was born there.

Just looking through, there are a lot of pages and unfortunatley it's not indexed so bear with me.

Found these which may be of interest the right names but ages don't add up:
I think its Ketley/ Hadley. pages have addresses missing.

Sam l Mansell age 27 Head Married proffession unreadable born Wellingtom Parish
Martha Mansell Wife married age24 born as above
Henery Mansell son age 5 born as above
Mary Mansell daughter age 2 born as above

I'll keep looking through for you and post anything I find

Thanks for looking. Could be a possible. Samuels occ was a blacksmith in 1859 that I know. Pity Liz wasn't there aged about 17., but then again she was a servant so could be anywhere.

Can find no sign of them, I've looked through the whole of Wellington, Waters Upton, Wrockwardine and Wombridge.

Don't know where else to look my eyes are getting tired now.

Some of the pages were too faint to read so maybe I missed them?

Dave, Did liz marry a Jones?

I think I've got her in 1871 census living in Hadley Eliza Jones age 39 widow with her children and mother Martha Mansell age 78 born Silverton, Staffordshire.
And Lodger Edward Wallers age 49 who is a Blacksmith born Sedgeley Staffs

If it is her looks like they never moved from Hadley if her birthplace is right. I'll have to go through Hadley again, I must have missed them somehow.

Elizabeth married Thomas Davies 1856 and were still married in 1901. I think she did have a sister called Eliza and i do have Jones in the family from Horsehay. I think we may be onto something. I also think she had a brother George Thomas Mansell 1828. That's going off the LDS IGI.
