Looking for info on John DODD born 1800 Patcham,Sussex

i think patcham comes under brighton.i have the 1851 name index for the brighton census on fiche.i'm going to the library today so will have a look for you.

I have two marriage's in the name of John Dodd for the right time period,

 from the Sussex Marriage Index:
 Patcham, East Sussex,  Date:  1 Aug 1829:
 John DODD
 Esther MARTIN, botp (B)
 
This is the licence information...looks interesting...any relation to Ken?? ;D

 from the Sussex Marriage Index:
 Archdeaconry of Lewes Marriage Licence,  Date: 28 Feb 1831:
 John Henry Oswald DODD, widr comidian SRY Battersea 21+
 Caroline RUSSELL, sp Brighton 21+

This is the marriage entry,

 Brighton, East Sussex,  Date:  2 Mar 1831:
 John Henry Oswald DODD, SRY Battersea Oswald widr
 Caroline RUSSELL, sp otp (lic)

Hi Allan
i looked on the index and found two john dodd's
 ho 107/1645 folio 136  albion hill area
 ho 107/1646 folio 610  the old town area
there wasn't any other dodd's at the same address's


i also realised when i got home that i actually have the 1851 census index for the Brighton area which covers patcham :-[  i will go to the library on Monday and have a look for you.

Thanks for that and the comedian Dodd. They are not related to Ken,he's from the Liverpool lot!!

He should be with wife Esther and children John 20, William 18, Richard 14, Elizabeth 12 Phillip abt 7 in 1851.

esther  wi 43  at home
william  so  18 farm lab
richard  so 14  farm lab
phillip  so  7 scholar
 all born patcham

john dodd  hd  19  farm lab
hannah dodd wi  21 at home b clayton
