A company called Alan Godfrey maps - they have a website - do very good reprints of the 1901/2 OS maps, which for cities have street names, as well as detail which shows individual houses.

Lord Street and Ann St were either side of Lower Moss Lane, which is still there, but a bit shorter than it used to be. There is a Lordsmead St now which is roughly where Lord St was.

I found Rob Roy Court in the index of an old A-Z, but couldn't find it on the map! Think it must be very small. However I can se a Walter St and a Scott St, so it must be around there somewhere.  ;D

Try asking for Lordsmead St on the Old Maps website. http://www.old-maps.co.uk/IndexMapPage2.aspx   Should give you the right co-ordinates for Lord St/Ann St

Hi Pricey4848

It's not a case we don't have any maps but a case of copyright issues of placing any type/bit of any map on rootschat.  :(

Your best bet, is as said earlier Godfrey Maps, here is the website

Does anyone know where Upper Baxter Street, Hulme was?  Also to Pricey4848 - I see you have the name Foy in your names, I have the names William and Dinah Foy appearing as witnesses on a marriage certificate of my great-grandparents in 1873 could there be any connection?
