Calbreath/Galbreath/Cubreth conundrum
« on: Friday 21 November 08 00:25 GMT (UK) »
Any help please  ???

John Alexander and Janet Calbreath married 25 Aug 1735.
On searching for children of this couple have come up with a puzzle.  Three children to John Alexander and Janet Galbreath, two children the same except mothers name Janet Calbreath and three children John A and Janet Cubreth..all born in Clackmannan.  Could the Janet Galbreath/Calbreath/Cubreth be one and the same person.
The search was done mixture of IGI and SP.
Nor can I find any birth of a Janet C.....in any of those names.
Where do I go from here..any help appreciated.

Hi Pat

I would say that Galbreath/Calbreath/Cubreth are all variants of the same. Certainly sounds like the same mother. As you say, as for her birth, any of these spellings (or more  ::)) that you may find, specially the further back you go.
