(North'nd) 1851/1861/1871/1891 Census Lookup Requests Please For Walter Rossiter

Hi,

I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the parents, grandparents, siblings and children of Walter Rossiter born circa 1846 in New York, Northumberland.

He married Jane Robson in the June Qtr of 1871 at Tynemouth.

I found him with his wife and children here in the 1881 UK Census:-

Many thanks for that.

Sorry for the delay in replying but I've been checking the data in my database.

I think this Walter is Walter Scott Rossiter who unfortunately died in 1877, which means that he would not be in the 1881 Census.

Also in my database he was married to Wilhemina Amelia Meyer in the June Qtr of 1872.

Perhaps you should get the marriage cert for Walter and Jane.  Would give his father's name so you can differentiate between the families.

From IGI Batch P000241 it seems that Luke Rossiter was the son of William Rossiter and Mary Scott.

It is quite likely, therefore, that one of their children might have a middle name of Scott.
