George HIPANGO Letcombe Regis
« on: Sunday 23 November 08 06:00 GMT (UK) »
George King HIPANGO, a native of Wanganui, NZ, was buried at Letcombe Regis on Jul 3, 1871, aged 19, in a place of honour under a yew tree by the entrance porch to the church, according to a book about the Reverend Richard Taylor, a NZ churchman. Taylor had taken George to England where he was to be further educated, but he took ill and died.

Is anyone able to tell us if there is a gravestone at Letcombe Regis still, and if it is able to be photographed please.

Hi.
My 4 x great grandparents are buried at Letcombe Regis and when I visited their grave in 2018 I also photographed George King Hipango's headstone.
