I read it as Metranber  or Mepranber  but I'm sure it's not  ::)

Have you got a bit more of the writing or is it just his signature?

The d of Alexander is quite clear now. Odd how it is easier to read with more of the document visible.

The second Alexander is much clearer than the first one - I think the x got extended (over stroked) on the first one.
