Hi ,

Google Manchester Archives or www.images.manchester.gov.uk. Enter the Local Image Collection. Type in name of Street or Area and it will bring up pictures of various dates.  Have had a look for Hulme and there are some at 1901/06/08 and later. Just flick through them and see if there is anything your looking for :)

Hi again,

I have just noticed your other posting of Camden st and Foster St in Hulme.
If you can get the 1916 map of Manchester both roads are on there.  The Cd with them on is copyrighted. But I bought mine from www.jigrah.co.uk or you can email them at graham@jigrah.co.uk.

If you have a current map of Manchester or googled maps of Manchester it is the area postcode M15. They were both near each other and were where the Mancunian Way is now.  Just off Great Jackson St (Knott Hill).

Hope it is of some help,   Cancan

Hi,

Have just taken a look at a map from 1936 and they are still there.  Sticking to Chester Rd, find Gt Jackson St, 4th left down of it, Rex St , Camden next to it. Just head a little south of it to find Foster st.   Cancan
