Winifred May INGRAM (or WILLIAMS)

Hi,
Was talking to my dad's cousin today and he shocked me by saying that my grandmother had another sister that is never talked about so I can only assume that she was born before the parents married. I believe she would have been born in South Australia (have checked NSW already) prior to 1904.

Her name was Winifred May Ingram or Williams and her mother could possibly have been Elizabeth Annie Williams or her father was Frederick William Ingram.

Would love her birth, marriage and death if that's not to much to ask. My uncle thinks she married an Andrew/s or Hopkins and he assures me she had heaps of kids!

Well she may have married again but the marriage index finishes at  1937.

Dear Cando,
Many thanks for finding this information. Poor girl had only just turned 15 when she had Winifred, and just over 12 months later was married to another man. I would be interested to know when Albert Drage was born........to see if he was as young as Elizabeth Annie.

After Elizabeth Annie's death, all three girls were apparently shipped to Port Pirie or Adelaide and William Ingram reclaimed his two when he remarried. It is rumoured that Winifred refused to go to him.......myth or Truth, there is no-one left to truly tell this story.

There's some submitted records on the IGI that suggest that Albert married in 1903 in Port Pirie to Martha Annie Burgess, then again in 1923 to Vera Myrtle Firthe after Martha's death, and died in 1932.
